New Moon in Gemini June 2011

June’s new moon occurs on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at 4:02 pm CDT.

"Slow down, you're moving too fast, you've got to make the morning last......”

Freeway BlurGemini rules the way we communicate with our selves, and with other people. It rules the clicking of the mind, our curiosity, our ability to have a viewpoint and the very specific way that we take in information. We are developing the Gemini archetype as youngsters when we experience sibling rivalry. We’re developing our ‘own’ thinking process which is a good thing. Tell that to a mother listening to her youngsters fighting over who’s right and who’s wrong. It may or may not comfort her. Gemini rules all things fast like computers, and cars, and when its ruler Mercury goes retrograde a lot of us don’t like it because things slow down. Most of us today are so bombarded by information that the mind resides in a state similar to PTSD. Anything that happens anywhere on the planet, we learn about within a few minutes. We barely have time to digest before more is on its way.

When Gemini energy is allowed to flow without SELF discipline one can feel they’re running in circles. In the past decade the mental energy on the planet has been turned up to max.

New Moon in Taurus May 2011

May’s new moon occurs on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at 1:50 am CDT.

"Slow down, you're moving too fast, you've got to make the morning last......”

May 2011 Astrology New Moon TaurusWith this Taurus new moon, it’s time to slow down. While not all of us have an infinity pool and a $5,000 hammock (actually, who lives like this?) – But we’re bound to have ‘someplace’ to chill out and it’s high time we did, April was extremely stressful. More than half of our planets were in Aries and boy did we all feel that energy, and we used it to get from there to here where ever ‘here’ is for you. We are all in a different space than we were the first of April. Ok, that’s good progress but now... let’s claim our right to a little peace of mind. The crisis may not be entirely behind us, but we can see the light at the end of the tunnel, we have a direction. Rest.

How you say? Well that’s up to each one of us, but a good start is to take a deep... a deep cleansing breath and let it all go. If we do that even once an hour we’ll live longer. Amazing isn’t it that we don’t even breathe sometimes. Breathe in and claim your power. Release it and let it go into a higher power. Part of the shadow side of Taurus is stubbornness. This new moon offers the opportunity to release that. Really that stubbornness is kind of like breathing in and not being willing to breathe out.

New Moon in Aries April 2011

April’s new moon occurs on Sunday, April 3 at 9:32 am CDT

It’s time to fly, but how and in which direction? And like the cartoon it sure feels like someone’s pushing us off an edge. April 2011 Astrology Which way to flyMy elderly mother, in the last months of life, is at the edge of her own nest, and it’s scary. What’s out there? Will I still exist? Will I be safe? Will I fly? Each of us sits perched and ready to spring, not just into the season of spring, but into something very, very new. And there is such uncertainty across the planet with ‘SIX’ planets in Aries right now. There is never a static moment with Aries. There’s just way too much going on with this new moon, I know you can feel it.

Aries is about INSTINCT. Are your instincts working for you at the optimum level or are they injured? Aries can feel overwhelmed and threatened – there’s always the ‘boogie man.’ Aries energy lives on the edge of the nest. Think of the little bird in the nest. “Yep, I’m gonna do it... no! I’m scared.... NO I am NOT... yes I am......” “Wow, look I’m flying.”

New Moon in Pisces March 2011

Do you recall the comment from last month’s Aquarius new moon letter? "There’s a lot of rebel in Aquarius, they are some of the most individuated people on the planet. You fence them in and they will tear down the fence to get free."

March 2011 AstrologyHow about the story of the Libyan pilots who were recently ordered by a defiant Gadhafi to bomb the oil fields? Did they do it? Nope, they flew out in that direction, veered off into a desolate area and ejected to safety as the jet hit the ground. Aquarius: willing to be a group of one if you have to...for the cause! And now enters Pisces, its energy blankets defiant energy and very soon joining the mêlée is Aries energy, the warrior. So times are volatile and to say the least, a little uncertain.

I’ll share my latest attempt to define the indefinable Pisces, - cosmic energy envelops you and it feels as though you expand and release all your boundaries and the energy penetrates your soul. You may be swept away which can be disconcerting, but on the other hand if you don’t release these boundaries, you may never know bliss, hence the dilemma, the Pisces symbols of two fish swimming in opposite directions.

New Moon in Aquarius February 2011

New Moon occurs Wednesday, February 2, 8:30 PM

Be brave and get your inventive cap on because with the New Moon in Aquarius we can all take advantage of the genius of Aquarian energy. Aquarius thinks out of the box, always. They feel a great need to be a productive part of society. Like anyone else they love to be loved, but at the same time they don’t want to be stifled in any way. I define thinking out of the box as not doing something “the way everyone else does it” or “the way I’m expected to” or “the way I was taught” - you get the drift here. Aquarians are not herd animals. If they find themselves in a herd they’re always wandering off saying, “Hey look, here’s a path we haven’t taken.” There’s a lot of rebel in Aquarius, they are some of the most individuated people on the planet. You fence them in and they will tear down the fence to get free.

ImageTsk tsk... sometimes rebellion might land you a ticket from a stern-faced official. There’s a word of caution with all this ‘me’, one of a kind, freedom-loving spirit that I am – you can isolate your self. The other guy is also one of a kind. We all are, and we live in a big world. We need each other. And we need a few rules. At the same time Aquarian energy knows how to present innovative rules. Hold on to your hat – the Aquarian Age has begun.

There are 12 houses in your natal chart and 12 signs. Somewhere you have Aquarian energy. Where ever it is, is where you’ll want to be left alone to do it your way. It’s in the plan for you to break open in that area. If it’s locked up, unlock it. The universe hints and hints at us to be free. If there’s too much resistance, Aquarian energy - much like electricity - will come out of nowhere, and like lighting it will take you to your knees with shock. It’s purpose? - To crack open stagnation, and of course we’re talking stagnation at a soul level.
