Newsletter December 2010

Mark your calendar for the next new moon, December 5, 11:35 am…next Sunday.

Last month’s new moon letter was long. It needed to be……wow what a month! I’ll try to be more
succinct with this new moon’s letter. We do need to briefly understand the archetype of Sagittarius and the energy available for new moon wishes. Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words. There are two sides to Sagittarius. One is higher knowledge and the other is thinking you have all the higher knowledge and you want everyone to “get it”, according to ‘you’. Oh, and in addition Sag people love a good party! They are basically very happy people.

There’s a funny astrological cartoon…the guy’s at a cross road, one sign points to enlightenment, the other to ‘the party’. It’s all so exciting you know, getting it all figured out. How many times in you’re life have you felt you had it all figured out? That was a fleeting Sagittarius moment! Sagittarius loves to espouse - maybe in ‘preaching’ to the rest of us they simply want us to have a good time? Often, the problem is it’s ‘their’ good time. Religiosity is a pitfall wherever Sag is in one’s chart. And we’re all a product of the last 3,000 years. We’re all a product of what’s been ‘preached’ to us. The higher Sagittarius reaches for individual truth, what we might refer to as universal law regardless of culture, race, or religion.

Sagittarius in its highest form is fascinated by all religions, other cultures, loves to travel and is universally witty.
Here’s a great Sagittarius quote, “A dog recognizes his master no matter how he’s dressed.”

Here are the main categories for setting intentions this month.

Here are suggestions for setting your Sagittarius new moon intentions. Always try to put these into your
own words.

“I want to regularly find myself enlisting the help of a Higher Power in directing my life.”
“I want all fears surrounding my being honest with others easily lifted from me.”
“I want to easily find myself filled with courage in standing for, and enacting my beliefs.”
“I want to easily listen and respect my intuitive side.”
“I want to observe and be blessed by nature more.”
“I want to expand my awareness through travel and adventure.”
“I want only the highest good to come from any legal pursuits.”
“I want to find myself attracting the right school/course/spiritual literature etc. that benefits my higher
“I want to solidly know within myself that there is a positive way out of any situation.”
“I want to easily find myself having faith that a positive Higher Power is involved in every aspect of my
“I want the habit of being blunt easily lifted from me.”
“I want all self-righteousness totally lifted from me.”
“I want the tendency to ‘assume’ – without checking out the facts – easily lifted from me.”

Jupiter, the ruling planet of Sagittarius, is the largest planet in our solar system. It relates to expansiveness and excess, a natural tendency of Sagittarius. As we naturally expand our hearts this season let’s be reminded that we can easily expand our debt. Now, go be merry and may your season be filled with the joy that surrounds Sagittarius.
