New Moon in Sagittarius

What will unfold before me?

New Moon Sagittarius

Let’s imagine that when we’re born on earth we’re given a giant roll. It’s unique to each of us, and on it, within it, is the future of our life on earth. Imagine that we can only unroll it as we complete the lessons we’ve walked. When we feel it’s time to move on, if in fact it’s not time the roll simply doesn’t unfold, push as we might. Our actions at these times must be wise. We must be willing to wait for the unfolding.

When it is time we’ll know, and in full faith we unroll another round and face our future. Curiosity is a mighty urge. We may want to move forward, but each of us having lived through all that we have, we now know that pushing can cause ‘that giant roll’ to spring back upon us. On the other hand we may hesitate to move forward when it is time. We may fear the risk. We may need a boost of strong faith to move forward, perhaps a little inspiration, perhaps an idea that sparks the desire to move forward. When these don’t come as quickly as we’d like, we must simply wait.

With each step we take we imprint new data, so at some point we become more conscious of how we step. What if the future of the roll could be altered by our consciousness? Maybe it’s not all set in stone.

Today’s New Moon in Sagittarius asks these kinds of questions. Sagittarius will always want to move forward. It’s the fire sign of philosophy and desire to know what is unknown. Sagittarius loves anything larger than itself. It’s fired up to climb the mysterious mountain, take the path less traveled, cross the stream, and bathe in the beauty of majesty. Who am I? Why am I here? What’s on the other side?

We are at the zero degree of Sagittarius with this new moon. This is an exquisite time to lay plans for our future. We can strike out in a new direction if we choose. We can take that risk.

Like the arrow shot from the centaur’s bow, we set loose our intentions. We can do this. Aim well. Take your time, don’t push the arrow, allow it, and the arrow will fly true.

Please, if you like, I invite you to write down affirmations during the first 48 hours after the new moon. GUIDELINES for working with the New Moon energy are here.
